...and Ministries
Music: Choir and Cantor
Music plays an integral part in our liturgical worship. St. John's is blessed to have a 15-voice choir under the direction of Paula Kudelko. Our Carpatho-Russian prostopinije (plain chant) is led by Prof. Joseph Jaeger, who has served in this capacity for over 40 years.
Altar Servers
Young men from our parish assist the clergy in celebrating the Divine Services.
Church Board
As representatives of the parish, these dedicated laymen and laywomen perform this important ministry by which operations of the church continue and function smoothly.
Youth: Sunday School, Junior ACRY
and Teen Group To educate our youth in the Orthodox Christian faith, classes are held on Sundays during the academic year, and other activities (both educational and social) are done. The youth also have an active chapter of the diocesan youth ministry, the ACRY.
Our teens regularly participate in the
Pan-Orthodox Youth Group
that brings together teens from the area Orthodox churches for study and
fellowship twice a month.
